From the very first call, I spoke with the director, Mr. Bright, and informed him of my brother’s passing and my wish for Wilson Funeral Home to provide his care and services. As always, Mr. Bright was extremely professional, compassionate, and attentive. He informed me of every step that needed to be taken once my brother’s body arrived at Wilson Funeral Home. I received a call from Mr. Bright with the date and time to meet and begin making arrangements, and throughout the entire process, he showed genuine care and concern for my family. Mr. Bright went over every detail thoroughly—from selecting the programs, casket, colors, and casket gauge, to explaining when clothing needed to be dropped off and when photos for the programs were due. He also clearly explained all payment details. Every step was handled with patience, kindness, and professionalism. The experience of planning the services of a loved one first requires you to face the reality that the person you loved has transitioned. For me, the loss of my mom was very difficult, and everyone I encountered at Wilson was empathetic, caring and polished. From contacting them to notify them of my mom's passing, to the planning of the services, to the actual day of the service and then the driver bringing me home following the service was brilliant. No respect was given to my grieving family from the start. Took full advantage of the situation to milk more and more money because of the family member that passed died in another state, also how tall and heavy he was. They lied about when his body was being transported, the director never showed up at the time to allow the body to be viewed before any services were performed. After the awake service they decided then to tell us the deceased needed another slot to be able to be buried..on top of all that the body wasn’t even cleansed thoroughly…A huge mess the whole through and through. Only when it came to talking about money was their nicest moments. Never again!
